About The Founder, Eric B. Stein
Eric B. Stein is a leading industry professional in the new media distribution space, with over 20 years of proven success in licensing, programming, business development, and strategy. He has broad, deep, and relevant knowledge of new media distribution opportunities in the film, television, gaming, and music space. Throughout his career, Eric has worked with established content producers and distributors, playing an integral role in the transformation from traditional content distribution into the vast avenues of the new technology platforms.
Eric has held position at small start-up (Content Licensing and Business Development - CinemaNow), major Tech (Digital Entertainment Services team at HP) and major studio (Sales, Programming and Acquisitions - Warner Bros) companies, and has expertise and experience on both sides of the negotiation table, licensing music, film and TV rights (out and in) in digital distribution platforms ranging from cable, satellite, OTT, broadband, Consoles, mobile, hotels, etc.
Currently, Eric is the Founder of Impact Global Media - a consulting company focused on the creation and execution of digital strategy for content, technology, and distribution companies navigating the digital transition.
Eric has been a lecturer at USC, UCLA and UCSD as well as a guest speaker to the Independent Film & Television Alliance (IFTA) New Technology Opportunities Committee, and a panelist at Sundance Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, and SXSW. Eric is a Member of Coleman Research Group’s Elite Executive Forum on Entertainment Industry and New Media, whose focus is to aid institutional investors. He also is on the Board of Advisors for Tugg and IFFS.
Eric is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh where he received his BA in Film Studies and attended the University of London/Imperial College, London, UK.
